Checking Course Prerequisites & Requirements
A Schedule of Classes (SOC) is an official campus publication that comes out before each semester or term.
Note: You can find course prerequisites using Check Class Availability for some campuses but not all.
What to use the Schedule of Classes for
Use the Schedule of Classes to check for course pre-requisites, co-requisites, comments and recommended preparation. You can use it to view course reference numbers, instructors, times, locations, etc. The SOC also contains important dates, policies and other details that affect your academic status.
What you shouldn't use the Schedule of Classes for
Most Schedule of Classes are printed. The class information is current as of the print publication date. Use the Check Class Availability and MyUH Search for Classes for the most up-to-date class information (like added classes, cancelled classes, time changes, etc.).
Finding Schedule of Classes (SOC)
Most campuses will have two versions of their Schedule of Classes: Printed & Online.
PRINT: You can get a hard copy at your Home Institution's Student Services (Admissions & Records) Office. See "Student Services, Admissions & Records" under Related Links section.
ONLINE: Visit your Home Institution's web site to access their online version of the SOC (as shown below). See "Schedule of Classes (SOC) under Related Links section.

Use either the print or online versions of the Schedule of Classes to look up any course prerequisites, corequisites, comments and recommended preparation for the class your want to register for.
