Check Status of Registration Overrides in MyUH
Registration Overrides
Instructors can grant overrides to registration restrictions (missing prerequisites, corequisites, wrong major, class full, time conflict, etc.) for their classes. Overrides must be input by the instructor BEFORE you attempt to register for the class.
| General Overrides/Permits ** | |
| Capacity Override | This overrides the enrollment limit on a class |
| Corequisite Override | This allows a student to enroll for a class without the required corequisite |
| Major Override | This allows a student with a major other than the required major to enroll |
| Prerequisite Override | This allows a student to enroll in a class without the required prerequisite |
| Repeat Hours | This allows a student to repeat a class |
| Special Approval | This allows an instructor to give special approval for a class that requires special approval |
| Time Conflict | This allows an instructor to waive a time conflict for a student for your class |
Step I: Student Must Contact the Course Instructor to Request an Override
Please check the UH Directory (See Related Links section) for specific instructor contact information.
Step II: Course Instructor Inputs Registration Override
If the instructor agrees to an override, they will then input the override into the MyUH system.
Step III: Student Checks Status of Registration Override
You cannot register for the course until the override has been input into the system. You can check the status of the override on the Check My Registration Status page.
- Login to MyUH (See Related Links section)
- Click on "Check Registration Status" (located in left column under "Academic Services")
- You may be asked to select a term. Click on the pull down box next to "Select Term," highlight the appropriate term and click on "Submit Term."
After successfully Selecting a Term, you will be taken to the following Check My Registration Status page.
Override in System
If the instructor entered the override into the system, the Registration Permits and Overrides section will display on the page. You will see the type of override, the term and the class the override is for. You may now register for the class.

Override NOT in System
If the Registration Permits and Overrides section does not display on the page, then the override is not in the system. You will need to contact the course instructor to see if the override was input or if there is a problem.
