Locating Your UH Number

 

What is a UH Number?

Your UH Number is a unique 8-digit number used in place of your  Social Security Number (SSN) for identification purposes within the UH System. 

 

What is it Used For?

Your UH Number is used for authentication purposes throughout the University system. You will be asked to provide your UH Number when filling out application forms, requesting a student ID, requesting registration overrides, etc. It is also displayed on your instructors' class lists and your acceptance letter. 

 

How Do I Find My UH Number Online?

1.  To find your UH Number through the MyUH Portal:

  • Log in to MyUH using your UH Username and Password.
  • Your UH Number will appear in a number of places:
    • On the "My Profile" tab, it is listed in your MyUH Directory Information.
    • In Academic Services, it will appear next to your name (top right) on both the "Main Menu" screen and the "Student" tab.

2.  You can also find your UH Number through Managing Your UH Username:

  • Log in to Managing Your UH Username using your UH Username and Password.
  • Your UH Number will appear at the top left of the screen.
